Yours Naturally

How Natural is it to go Bananas?

Going bananas have taken a new meaning recently when I discovered the rich potential of this tropical fruit. It does wonders for the skin - I tried it myself the other day after watching a short info advert on television on the uses of banana. I used bananas to make my face mask and guess what?!! It felt so soothing! It is known to be able to soothe and firms the skin at the same time! Hang on there - I'm not suggesting that you start putting your SKII products or Clinique moisturiser on ebay for sale, just to go all natural here. What I'm suggesting is that you could also go natural at times. I'll be fun and the skin would benefit from the gift of nature occasinally. A beautician friend of mine once told me that you should not use the same products all the time for a prolonged period.

Try this face mask...

Ingredients:

1 ripe banana
1 tablespoon honey
1/2 teaspoon Jojoba oil
1 tablespoon Yogurt (plain yogurt)
1 egg white
Method:

Look for a medium size mixing bowl and whisk the egg white in it. Next, blend in the yogurt, Jojoba oil, Honey until it becomes a smooth creamy mixture. Mash up the banana until it is smooth in another bowl. Blend into the first mixture.

A note of caution: The mixture may create some mess and thus, it is best that you used it when you are sitting in the bath. Apply generously to desired areas such as the entire face, neck and shoulder area. Let sit for at least 10-15 minutes and then wash it off. Don't forget to remove any excess product from the skin, then moisturize as usual. Try it and you could leave in some comments!! You could also try the natural recipes in this book
